This four-week old kit fox is tracking scent. The red fox has over 200,000,000 tiny scent glands, called olfactory receptors, in its nose.
These red foxes are sparring, which is actually a means of dispute resolution. Perhaps this explains why the dance step is called the "Fox Trot". « Back |
